Image Gallery

As the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words." Therefore, over the course of this class I'm hopeful we will all share pictures of great examples of how people are growing food that they eat.

Terry's Pictures

I've learned over many years that it's impossible to take too many pictures - even multiple pictures of the same scene as you never know when one might capture something completely unexpected. And, it's never been easier as almost everyone carry's a camera with them all the time - i.e., your phone! So, over the course of the summer, I'll be sharing images I hope will be helpful for all of our learning.

Gardens

In my experience, most gardens are hidden in backyards. That said, I'm fascinated by people that like to break the "rules" by growing food in places other than their backyard.

Instead of growing - and mowing - a lawn, this homeowner is growing food and flowers!

There are at least four different vegetables and/or herbs growing in this salad table.

Just up the street from the salad table front yard is this side yard garden featuring perennial crops of asparagus and raspberries along with annual vegetables growing in raised beds.

From the opposite direction the asparagus (center foreground and raspberries at right along the sidewalk are more apparent.
